this is me.

I grew up in Southern California and listened to a lot of music on the radio from artists like John Mayer and Lauryn Hill. My mom also "forced" me to listen to her Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd albums and my dad with his Journey and Michael Jackson albums.

All of these contrasting music styles were always swirling around in my brain, but I didn't start writing songs until college. My roommate told me she thought songwriting was something I was supposed to do. Taking her advice, I decided to take songwriting classes at both The Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music.

Writing songs led me to be obsessed with singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, and Tracy Chapman. I was inspired by their beautiful, yet simple musical styles, confessional lyrics, and truthful passion. They taught me to use my own voice to proudly tell all the good, bad, and ugly of my own story.

I am currently living in Brooklyn, playing gigs all over the city

Influences include (but are not limited to): John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, Ed Sheeran, Tori Kelly, Tina Dico, Ben Howard, Frank Ocean, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Tracy Chapman, & Ms. Lauryn Hill.
